I wanted to like this book more than I did. Like some other readers, I saw the TV series first. I think I like the TV Sydney Chambers more but like the written stories more. Will see how it goes with more reading.
This was the first book in this series that I have read. I did not enjoy it as much as I wanted to. Others have given a more technical review. I rather give you my expectations. I decided to buy the book after watching the PBS series. This next statement is something I don't think I have ever written or said before. I think the PBS Series is better than the book. Read it for yourself and make you own mind up about that. ( )
