Each story contains a paragraph or two of historical information regarding the topics mentioned in the stories. The different Jewish stories illustrate the longing of the Jewish people's hearts to go to Jerusalem, no matter where they were dispersed in the world. A common thread in the stories is the occurrence of miracles, often signifying the favor of God upon a certain person or the Jewish people in general. Readers who are familiar with Bible stories will find this collection of stories interesting, recognizing what comes from the Bible and what comes from oral tradition or folklore. Each story is fascinating in its own right, whether one is familiar with the Bible or not, and the stories often teach a moral or great truth. There is much symbolism in the stories, which the author explains in the sidebars. The stories are illustrated with watercolor in soft, serene tones. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
