Fun concept with likeable characters; it is already obvious why the animated version of this was one of the most popular series of 2011. The pacing seemed a bit too fast and choppy, the storyline jumps very fast from scene to scene, leaving plenty of things unexplained. I wondered if the manga was just moving very fast through the story and glossing over details that were in the anime but after watching the first episode of the anime, the fast pace seems to be the style of the series. I watched the first episode of the anime after reading and it is clear that the manga is a very faithful adaptation, which doesn't really make me inclined to pick up the rest of the manga as I can just take in the story in its original animated form. "Superpowered humans known as NEXT appeared in the world 45 years ago. Some of them fight crime in the city of Stern Bild while promoting their corporate sponsors on the hit show Hero TV. The people love their superheroes, even if they don't completely understand them, and not all of the NEXT use their powers for good. Veteran hero Wild Tiger has years of experience fighting crime, but his ratings have been slipping. Under orders from his new employer, Wild Tiger finds himself forced to team up with Barnaby Brooks, Jr., a rookie with an attitude. Overcoming their differences will be at least as difficult for this mismatched duo as taking down superpowered bad guys!"--P. [4] of cover. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
