Published in 1982, the poems are terrible. I suppose they would have been an accurate portrayal of high school students in the early 80s, but they are a bit offensive and sexist today. But it is the pictures of the kids that make this book hilariously dated. Big hair, huge thick glasses, and chest hair peeking through open shirts. The poems in this book tried to capture the typical lives of teenagers in high school. It accomplished this to some extent. However, the wording and some of the themes were outdated, which I think would turn modern teens off a bit. Also, the pictures were definitely from the 80s, which also makes the book seem outdated. On the other hand, amidst some of the outdated stuff, there are some really good poems that can relate to modern day teen. You just have to go through and find them. I think this would be a good book for teachers of high school students. They could go through and pick out the good and relevant poems to show their students. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
