Each couple gets a small segment. Ian and Beth, with the broken Ming bowl and his secret surprise. Cameron and Ainsley's daughter becoming lost, Mac and his valet's boxing match, Daniel's betting rings and more. Loved revisiting these couples and the chaos and mayhem of a large, loving family. Overall Thoughts: Super short review: Read this book and get all the warm fuzzies. For a very tortured family it was nice to see most of them happy and surrounded by love! Audio Thoughts: Narrated By Angela Dawe / Length: 5 hrs and 7 mins Angela rocked it! :) Final Thoughts: Love this series! It is a must read for historical romance fans. If you're a fan of clan MacKenzie, as I am, you'll enjoy catching up with them as they gather to celebrate Christmas and Hogmanay (that's Scots New Year's Eve) at Castle Kilmorgan. All the brothers, and their wives and children, are featured, along with others who've appeared only in passing -- Ainsley's four brothers, David Fleming, Isabella's sister Louisa, and Inspector Fellows (half brother to the Mackenzies). And young Daniel Mackenzie is even more adorable than before. It's lots of fun, with plenty of sequel teasers. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

2nd read- I'm not sure how this would stand alone if I hadn't read the rest of the series, we learn a bit of the backstory on each couple and get some quality time with all of them, but there's only so much scene setting you can do and still cover new events with so many couples. I *have* read the previous books though, and I think the characters really shine and their storylines are woven together quite nicely. I love how it handles Ian's autism, he and Beth are so sweet together. ( )
