Funny with some great repetitive parts. ( ) I really enjoyed this book for a few reasons. I really liked the writing in the book. On each page when the book talks about the different things that the pirate swallows, each page ends with the saying, “Yo ho ho! Watch his belly grow!” I thought it was a cute way to keep adding suspense to the different objects the pirate was swallowing. I also really enjoyed the illustrations. Each time the pirate swallowed something, the illustration showed him swallowing it as well as his belly increasing in size. I like that because it shows the reader how swallowing all these objects is increasing his weight. I don’t think there was really a message for this book, I think it was more of just an enjoyable and humorous read for kids to laugh at. If there was a message, I think it could have been that if you eat too much, you will become overweight. Although, I still think it was just for enjoyment. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
