I haven't had the chance to get out to see the new Hobbit movie yet, but I'm hoping I might manage it this weekend. So this seemed like the perfect time to finally get around to this book I picked up a while back on the art and design of the first one. It covers pretty much all the visual aspects of the film, including settings, props, costumes and character designs. There are plenty of illustrations, obviously, including conceptional art that lets you see the evolution of various design ideas, as well as brief but thoughtful bits of commentary from various people involved in the making of the movie. As always, the level of attention to detail these folks exhibited is astonishing. It's really very well-put-together and interesting, much more so than books of this kind often are. If you're at all a fan of the movie, I'd say it's well worth a look. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

I would recommend this book if you were into fiction books. Also it had a lot of action and good plot. This book has appeal to only a small celection of people. I personally don’t like this book. It was to fake in a way.
