The number of different crimes & solutions it offered seemed a bit staggering-but the characters were likable enoough and it's a brisk read. ( ) Having seen the bog exhibit at the National Museum of Ireland, including some incredible remains of bodies removed from the bogs, I was really looking forward to this book. Unfortunately the story was a little hard to believe, the characters relied on tired stereotypes and there wasn't enough about the bogs. This is the first book of Erin Hart's that I have read. I was riveted. The plot and interaction of the characters, the location, and the intrigues kept me wanting more and more and kept me on the edge of my literary seat until the very last word! I have entered her three novels listed inside the Book of Killowen on my "Wish List" to get from our local library. Anyone of Celtic heritage will want to read this book! sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

"What sort of book is worth a man's life? After a year away from working in the field, archaeologist Cormac Maguire and pathologist Nora Gavin are back in the bogs, investigating a ninth-century body found buried in the trunk of a car. They discover that the ancient corpse is not alone-pinned beneath it is the body of Benedict Kavanagh, missing for mere months and familiar to television viewers as a philosopher who enjoyed destroying his opponents in debate. Both men were viciously murdered, but centuries apart-so how did they end up buried together in the bog? "-- No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
