This story is about a young girl who, while walking in an art museum, is hit with so many different emotions from feeling sad, happy, goofy, and even hungry because of the art she is seeing. Before leaving, she sees an empty canvas and says, "This is the strongest piece of art I've ever seen," because of everything she had already seen, she realizes she can fill it up with her creations anything she may feel she can put it on that canvas. She is inspired, and that is precisely what this book is meant to do, encourage children to be creative and use their imagination. ( )

A little girl takes a tour of a museum, and each work of art gives her a different feeling. The rhyming lines help to evoke the feelings each work of art is meant to express. Featuring colorful re-creations of works by Edgar Degas, Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, and Auguste Rodin, this book also serves to introduce your child to the work of great artists.

This book is about the feeling and emotions a little girl goes through as she goes through the museum. With the help of the protagonists imagination, it helps her put herself in the painting and artwork in the museum and feel them or act them out herself. It's illustration also shows the way the girl feels with colors and expressions, without having to looks at the girl. They tell a story by themselves. It is also a very informational book since it has versions of famous pieces of art. ( )

The necessity of art and it's interpretation is lovingly laid out for children to see. They are shown that there can be many reactions to art, and that showing emotion is a good thing. How does this book make me feel? How about... squiggly, twisty and shiny! ( )

This has a fun, rhythmic text and fun pictures. The emotion and excitement that flows through this young girl as she makes her through the museum is delightful. Frankly, I wish I felt that inspired. Her take on the blank canvas at the end of the museum is full of imagination. ( )
