Normally I like Mythology related stories but this one was just Meh for me. I thought I’d like it more with the Egyptian Mythology and everything but I didn’t ( )

Main character definitely had me rolling my eyes, but still saw where she was coming from. Liked the idea of mythological gods having everyday family drama. The twist at the end can be seen from a mile away (I never guess the plot twists) ( )

teen fiction (progeny of ancient egyptian gods who suffers from attachment disorder meets boy of her dreams, sort of). I didn't find this as action-packed as White's other books, but I liked the different stories she wove in throughout and for the most part enjoyed Isadora's (sometimes angsty) voice. She doesn't actually meet the boy until like 60 pages in (don't know how many pages, but I'm saying it was a bit slow to start) which I guess works out alright for character development. ( )

This was quite a light easy and fun book to read.

It is inter woven with Egyptian mythologies and YA tropes in a fun way which I completely enjoyed. There was also a bit of Greek mythology chucked in for good measure.

I would definitely liken this book to the Percy Jackson series, but with less battle scenes and more 'teen drama'.

I was looking for a nice light read and I found it! ( )

I really really enjoyed this book especially once it picked up and got going. The first fifty pages or so were a little slower but once the main character Isadora left Egypt and made her way to San Diego, things really picked up and I loved it.

I've always been a fan of mythologies and it was really great to see the Egyptian Gods and Goddesses for a change.

I really enjoyed this overall. Isadora was really funny, and I loved reading this from her perspective! ( )
