Offering practical instruction on how to perform the Tibetan Rites of Rejuvenation, which will take only minutes a day, many practitioners have experienced benefits, including increased energy, weight loss, better memory, new hair growth, pain relief, better digestion, and feeling overall more youthful. Legend has it that hidden in the remote reaches of the Himalayan mountains lies a secret that would have saved Ponce de Leon from years of fruitless searching for the Fountain of Youth. There, generations of Tibetan monks have passed down a series of exercises with mystical, age-reversing properties. Known as the Tibetan Rites of Rejuvenation or the Five Rites, these once-secret exercises are now available to Westerners in Ancient Secret of the Fountain Of Youth. Peter Kelder's book begins with an account of his own introduction to the rites by way of Colonel Bradford, a mysterious retired British army officer who learned of the rites while journeying high up in the Himalayas. Fountain of Youth then offers practical instructions for each of the five rites, which resemble yoga postures. Taking just minutes a day to perform, the benefits for practitioners have included increased energy, weight loss, better memory, new hair growth, pain relief, better digestion, and feeling overall more youthful.… (más)

Benefits of yoga and the power of positive thinking in a nutshell

While the content is presented as a discovered secret to the fountain of youth, the benefits of yoga and positive thinking are well documented. I believe that people who try these things will indeed achieve the benefit of being more youthful and happy! The exercises (rites) are not the crazy hard ones, but some people will have to do the best they can and they will improve daily until they can do them, and they will benefit rather quickly.

I don’t think the author intended to present a “nutshell” version of Yoga and positive thinking. His method for attaining the knowledge was more adventurous. However, if you were to ask a yoga expert to pick 5 doable exercises that would impart the biggest benefit to the average middle aged person, and ask a positive thinking expert to build a single exercise to kick start positive thinking, you would have the content of this book except for the diet suggestions.

I didn’t really agree with the diet suggestions, but at some point I may try them and see what happens. Regardless, I think this is a good book.

The bestselling book that reveals the secret of youthful health and vitality,

Now it's your turn to discover the fountain of youth.

It's the late 1920's in colonial India. Driven by a seemingly irrrational wish, an aging British Army officer embarks upon an adventure of discovery that leads to forbidden Tibet-an ancient land obscured by centuries of isolation; a land of wonder, where miraculous feats are a part of everyday life. There, in the shadows of the earth's tallest mountains, he stumbles on the hidden Shangri-La, a mysterious place without time where people age but sumehow never grow old.

So begins Peter Kelder's chronicle of Colonel Bradford, whose extraordinary adventure brings him back to the West years later at age 73, looking and acting like a man of 45!

How did he accomplish this remarkable feat of rejuvination? The secret, says Bradford, is a series of five ancient Tibetan exercises, which anyone can perform in a matter of minutes. These simple exercises-which he calls the Five Rites-restore youthful health and vitality by balancing and harmonizing invisible energy vortexes within the body.

The "Lost Chapter" Restored!

Originally written in the 1930's, Kelder's book was revived in 1985. Helped only by word-of-mouth, it sored in popularity, quickly becoming a number one international bestseller. This expanded and updated edition restores the book's final chapter, unseen in more than half a century. The "Lost Chapter," recently discovered in the author's personal papers, adds an excting new dimension to this unforgettable bestselling classic.

You must experience first-hand the life-transforming power of Ancient Secret of the Fountain of Youth.

Peter Kelder, originally from the Midwest, left home in his teens to embark on adventures that took him around the world to many distant and exotic lands. Throughout his life he has maintained a love of books, libraries, words, and poetry. While he does not reveal when he was born, Mr. Kelder is very much alive, well, and productive today, nearly sixty years after his first introduction to the Five Rites. Bernie S. Siegel, M.D., is the bestseling author of many books, including Love, Medicine, and Miracles and Peace, Love, and Healing.

The international bestseller, expanded to incude the newly-discovered "Lost Chapter."

(Oribase)
