One of the things I liked about this book is how the author describes all the things police officers do, in a language that is easy for young children to understand. I also like how the book tells the reader what to do if they hear a police siren. “If you hear a police siren, get out of the way. A police officer is rushing to help someone.” In the very beginning of the book, there is a picture of a police officer with the parts of his uniform labeled. In the back of the book it says “If you need help, just ask a police officer”, and there is a little sidebar that tells the reader to look back at page 4 so they know what a police officer looks like. I think that was a great thing to include in the book. I also really like the illustrations. The illustrations are actual pictures of police officers. There are pictures of police officers with children, on bikes, directing traffic, and handing out tickets. The big idea of the book is to introduce children to police officers, and the things they do to keep people safe. ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
