This story is painfully average with a perspective of third person narrator and extremely simple language, I wouldn't be surprised if most students were disengaged by the story. The pacing was a sluggish, which was only barely helped by the full page illustrations. I wish there was more to say about this piece of children's literature, but between two simple characters that consists of only their descriptors, its nothing to write home about if to even write at all ( ) Summary: George stays home from for a snow day and he is really bored and just sits in the house staring out the window. He then sees slopes of snow in his front yard and decides to go outside and try them out. While playing in the snow he decides to build a snowman and when he puts all the fixings on the snowman he finds the snowman smiling at him. Personal Reaction: Such a cute book. I think this will get all children excited to build a snowman just to see if the unexpected happens. Books like this one really help children's imagination. Classroom ideas: I would read this to my students so they could tell me their personal snowman stories and use their imaginations. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
