Black Cat by Edgar Allan Poe - 2* - in a drunken state he murdered his cat. he was a dick when drunk. killed his wife 2 & bricked her up in the bsmt. when the cops came to investigate the "reincarnated" cat started to howl from w/in the tomb. busted.
A Monkey's Paw by W.W. Jacobs - 4* - 1st wish for cash-son died & got compensation from comp/2nd wish was for him to come back alive *knock knock*/3rd wish "The knocking ceased suddenly"
The Open Window by Saki - 4* - was tricked into thinking homeowner left window open for missing husband to come home. caused him to be spooked when he did. prank.
