Noah Webster’s American Dictionary played an influential role in the development of a common language in the United States. The author does an excellent job telling the story of Noah Webster and why he decided to develop the American Dictionary. Author’s Note, Bibliography, Timeline. Awesome biography/picture book! Noah Webster accomplished much in his life. He attended Yale University at just 15 years old and graduated at 19, read almost every book in the Yale Library, and published the first American Dictionary at 70 years old. This story includes historical events that were taking place in American during Webster's lifetime, and includes a timeline to review the big points that were discussed throughout the book. The illustrations were entertaining as well. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
