I can't remember what this book is about, really, but I remember being very obsessed with it for a while. ( )

I don't know what to say about this book beyond I didn't like it. It was provocative without the same thoughtfulness of Cormier's other work and just felt too sensationalistic in other parts. The Ozzie chapter was upsetting and needlessly violent. My advice is to skip this and read The Chocolate War instead. ( )

Amazing story divided into three points of view, making it a story within a story, within a story. One part coming of age tale, one part sci-fi thriller, and one part horror all neatly wrapped up in a literary mystery that leaves the reader spellbound at the end. One of my favorite books. ( )
