Reading Level: 6-8 Fantasy - Alternative Worlds Peter Pan is about Wendy and her adventure to Neverland to stop the evil Captain Hook from taking Peter. It follows Wendy and her two brothers in their journey to Neverland and the things they do there. I think think that Peter Pan is honestly a little creepy because Peter pretty much steals them away from their house and Hook is just creepy in general. However, I do think that this gives children the opportunity to use their imagination even more so than usual. Peter Pan is a riveting story about a boy who can fly and lives in Neverland. Children who go to Neverland do not age and get to have great adventures their whole lives. Peter takes Wendy and her brothers on an epic adventure to defeat Captain Hook. This book is good for older children who want to read about adventures. Though Disney had romanticized the tail of Peter Pan, the illustrations in the book are worth taking a look at and the story is still exiting. Summary: Peter Pan is a kid that never ages he has friends called the Lost Boys and they are from a place called Neverland. Wendy Darling and her brothers wanted adventure and to never grow old. While Peter is looking for his shadow one night it stumbles upon Wendy's house and Wendy and her brothers fly to Neverland where their adventure begins. Personal Reaction: This book and movie inspired me so much as a kid and I loved to watch it all the time ( and I mean like everyday). I think this book is a great way to teach kids what else life has to offer. Classroom Extension: 1. Recreate Captain Hook's ship with craft paper. 2. Make Tiger Lily's Indian head piece with feathers, craft paper, etc. 3. Have the Kids make their own Lost Boys or Girls rule book. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
