The book ends at a point that I would consider to be the middle of the story, and reading the sequel(s?) will be absolutely necessary to understand what happened. While I enjoy the world of Castle Glower, I'm very disappointed that Jessica Day George gave us no satisfactory conclusion to this book. I seem to remember reading a book at one point where the author advised other authors to give main characters names that didn't start with the same letter, that had the same length, or letters that look the same to a speed reader (such as P, R, or B). Also, the main characters are merely reactionary figures to events that happen around them. And they don't really grow. Laura Ingalls Wilder did in all of her books and she started out at a younger age. And, It's really all my fault because I keep telling myself that this one will be better than the last book. And it's not. It's not bad. But it's not literature. And while it doesn't really have anything bad to teach my (fictional) 10-year old. It doesn't help them to grow and learn. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

*Spoiler alert*
A great upheaval in the Castle sends Celie, Rufus, Rolf, Pogue, Lilah, and Lulath in two separate towers out of Sleyne and into the Glorious Arkower, where none of them have ever been. Something of a cliffhanger! On to Thursdays... ( )
