Arvid Nelson was also the author of various Dejah Thoris graphic novels; another voluptuous semi-naked woman who is kick-ass with a sword. A lot of the pictures of Red Sonja in this tome are in similarly unlikely poses. Teenage boys will delight in the deluge of bloody heads and fleshy curves. (Why is that?) Red Sonja is all warrior though, in some ways harder-hearted than Conan. Unlike Conan, she has no fear of confronting gods or wizards. This collection has her pursuing the murderer of her husband across the world. Revenge is eventually served, in the cold of the northern mountains. ( )
