I liked this story and it clears up some caps around Cullen, which is nice. Hope to see more of them further in the series because this is a cute couple. ( )

A lovely little read from the Lupi universe, and the solution to a mystery that’s been around since book 1! I liked Molly and Michael a lot, and I would love it if they show up for the final novel in the series. ( )

Originally Human is a free download from GraphicAudio.net, introducing you both to the GraphicAudio style and to the World of the Lupi series. This short story (around two hours long) takes place shortly before the events of Mortal Danger (World of the Lupi Book 2).

I liked this story when I first read it a few years ago. At heart, it’s a mystery story — where did the gorgeous amnesiac come from and why are people after him? Because this is a romance story, one of the main characters is, of course, a succubus so there is an excuse for attraction and sex. Though the primary characters don’t appear in the series for a while, the events of this story have repercussions in Tempting Danger.

The GraphicAudio style made the story quite rich. I love hearing the sound of ocean waves in the background, sound effects when magic is used, and different voice actors for the characters. There *is* a sex scene in this story, which is acted out audibly and a bit awkward to hear — I can’t imagine how awkward it must have been to record!

Overall, a good story and a decent introduction to both the World of the Lupi and GraphicAudio. If you’re interested in either, I’d give this a try.

Molly, who had been cursed as a succubus by the Old One the Lupi are fighting, is out walking on the beach one evening when with a pop, a naked, unconscious man with a number of knife slashes, is suddenly on the ground in front of her. He can’t remember who he is or where he came from, but it’s obvious he has a lot of knowledge about an amazing number of things, and others want him.

Novella takes place within the first book in the series and explains how Cullen gets the wonderful shields that he can’t remember getting. It’s also a romance between two people who turn out to be perfect for each other.

Nice addition to the series that was first published in the anthology, Cravings. ( )
