This would be a great book to incorporate during math period for a PK to 1st-grade class. It's about the wing brothers, and how they distinguish equation signs, their meanings, as well as understanding addition and subtraction in the purest form. The illustrations are so useful for visual learners because they explain everything the young reader needs to know. I would use this book as an additional resource during my lesson. ( )

This book tells a story to explain different math problems. The Wing Wing brothers are putting on different performances, and in their first performance, they see who can balance the most plates. As more and more plates are added to each brother, the reader gets to see different greater than and less than equations that match the number of plates they each have. The book is broken up into the different acts or "performances" and each act focuses on a different math concept like addition and subtraction. This book is a great visual aid to reinforce addition and subtraction to students who are beginning to learn. This book would absolutely stimulate and engage the reader because the storyline that goes along with it is comical and kids would enjoy. ( )

The Wing Wing Brothers are a group of ducks that love to perform tricks. Every trick is a math lesson.

I liked the cartoon art style! It had a crayon-kind of texture and the designs were adorable. The math part was a bit strange. The addition/subtraction section may have made more sense coming in Act 1 instead of Act 2. The book also says it meets the Common Core standards for kindergarten math, and I'm not sure how that is, but learning less than and more than in kindergarten seems a bit too advanced. It does present the subject very easily. ( )

Different parts of this book compare different things. Some parts of the book examine shapes. Towards the end, it shows how to divided shapes into fractions. This book is a fun way to teach math to students. ( )
