Can this really be the same author as the Molly Murphy series? I very much enjoyed Georgie's sharp wit as opposed to Molly's rather dull lagginess. The story was fun, well-thought out, and not easily guessed at. It wasn't until page 185 that I even picked up on the pattern of the murders. The only part of the story that really bugged me was that Georgie and Darcy went around telling everyone that they had proof the deaths were murders rather than accidents and likely tipped off the guilty. I will be looking for more Her Royal Spyness, for sure. ( ) A fun entry in the series which finds Georgiana, 30th-something in line to the British throne, attending a country house party at Christmas. Unfortunately, the festivities are marred by a series of suspicious deaths in the surrounding area, and Georgie can't help but get involved. I enjoyed this seasonally appropriate mystery, not least because it featured a lot of Georgie's grandfather, mother, and her beau, Darcy O'Meara. 3.75 stars The Twelve Clues of Christmas 4 Stars Lady Georgiana Rannoch manages to avoid spending Christmas with her idiotic brother and priggish sister-in-law by agreeing to act as hostess to a posh house party in Tiddleton-Under-Lovey. Unfortunately, things go awry early on when a young man is found dead in a tree and several others in the village die from apparent accidents. Is all of this merely coincidence or does someone have a grudge against the townsfolk? This is such a wonderfully zany series and Katherine Kellgren's narration never fails to have me laughing out loud at Georgie's antics. The mystery is very entertaining with the deaths occurring in accordance with the Georgie and Darcy's romance is finally getting somewhere and it was good to have him front and center after his being virtually MIA in the previous book. Looking forward to them finally getting their much deserved HEA. This is a charming mystery story set in England between the World Wars. Lady Georgianna, always broke and always trying to escape her in-laws responds to an ad for a hostess. The owner of a large estate is trying to earn some coin herself by offering a perfect traditional English House party. the book is filled with the charming images of English holidays and meals and the mystery is l;liberally seasoned with lots of red herrings. Every day a new -seemingly random person is dying a bizarre accidental way. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
