Would have liked to see some more creative use of the rings rather than just blasting or making big weapons that blast green rays. Especially when the enemy in this case, was resistant to that stuff. Did like the touching ending. Liked the old guys a lot too. ( ) This is the New 52 TPB that stars Guy Gardner and John Stewart, as well as the rest of the Green Lantern Corps. Stewart has always been my favorite Lantern. He always seemed like the most human to me, and the most interesting as well, and both of those things are definitely true in this story line. Guy is his kick everybody's butts self too. Bringing together the grizzled old wily Green Lantern veterans and the best of the best new interns to go up against a foe that has even more willpower than the Lanterns. I did like the fight scenes and I thought the plot was interesting and thought provoking, which doesn't always happen in super hero comic books. But the part I liked the best about the entire TPB was at the very beginning when we saw Guy and John trying to get normal jobs that had nothing to do with saving the universe. A football coach and an architect. I'd love to see more stuff along those lines. Some of the super heroes these days seem very cut off from anything, 'cause no longer do they have real secret IDs. I find it sad. It was a good star turn for Stewart. Also fed into his sense of duty driving him onward in the face of the horror that he is forced to commit in service to that duty. I'm a big fan of the truly alien looking GLs, but we didn't get so much of that here. When the GL crypt keeper launches the new arrivals into their memorial, there is a Killowog in there. I don't recall a story about another of Kilowog's race being in the Corps, but there are tons of stories that aren't ever told. And too many that are recycled ad nauseum in the reboot, retell cycle of comics. All in all a good read on a Sunday afternoon when the wifi was down. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
