NF Wise words, but nothing stood out strongly enough to make this a notable book for me. Much of what i liked in this book has been said better by others. I was also a little uncomfortable with his approach to "spiritual warfare," which verged on recognizing demon possession and casting demons out. Not that he explicitly endorses demon possession, which he does briefly say he does not believe, some readers may get the wrong idea when he speaks about battling evil angels, that may be harassing a person, through prayer and counseling. Still, worth a read. I thought this was an important book on spiritual warfare. I liked all the illustrations from the Bible and other books, although I hadn't read all the other books, but saw movie versions of them. I wasn't sure if he said what the four streams were, but I may have not been listening well. I liked the reader of the book. He did a good job. This book is part of my collection that really focuses in on Biblical Commentary more than anything else (including some well known authors in the theological world). All of these books haven't been read cover to cover, but I've spent a lot of time with them and they've been helpful in guiding me through difficult passages (or if I desire to dig deeper). Waking the Dead will change your perception of yourself, how God sees you and give you a clearer view of how God sees other people. John Eldredge is a gifted man who only wants to see people free from religious views of God and come to a heart relationship with HIm. When we are touched by the "Presence of God", we are truly changed and understand we have purpose, more than we imagine. Try this book if you are sick of religion. You can also get the video form where John reads his own book. He is so expressive (acting background) that every word comes alive as he reads. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
