This is more a 3.5 than a 4 but I'm feeling generous. The story was sweet and heart warming but also pretty predictable (though I'll give you this, the ending wasn't _quite_ what I expected). It definitely had more promise to it than the author put on paper though, many loose ends and unnecessary details left in. But all in all it was a nice little read that put a smile on my face! ( )

A very gay boy and a supposedly straight academic white boy. We see their relationship unfold from Lukas’ POV, he’s a hardworking straight-A student. Alan is smart and witty and he has a comeback for everything. They have to work together on a school project, and Alan is NOT happy about that…

Almost through the whole book I felt that Alan was verbally abusing Lukas, and Lukas just silently endured it. It’s reverse-bullying. Stereotyping works both ways unfortunately. :(
I just wanted to shake Lukas, he should have raised his voice at least, or throw something, but he remained calm all along, and somehow, despite all the hateful words, ha fell in love with Alan. And it was reciprocated from the beginning I think, but of course Alan fought hard.

I loved this book very much, though the ending was a bit over-the-top.

I enjoyed the story of Lukas and Alan, although the ending threw me off quite a bit. The whole story is Lukas dancing around his interest in Alan, Alan not feeling like he is good enough so he acts like an ass, and then finally them getting together. The whole story was paced very nicely and seemed to fit with the characters until the end when it felt like the actions didn't really fit the characters. This was enjoyable for a short story though. ( )

I loved this...absolutely LOVED it!!! The characters are wonderful! The writing is so very good! The use of the photo is imaginative. And when I got to the very end, I burst into tears because it was just so very PERFECT! ( )
