Not one that is in heavy rotation at our house. Cute illustrations, but the writing is just ok. ( )

Five bears get into bed, but a sound in the night wakes them all up.

This title features the adorable bears from Parenteau's series of books as they get ready for bedtime. While still a fine enough story, it's not quite as good as some of the other titles in the series. For instance, I feel like it's unclear if the Big Brown Bear is a parental figure or an older sibling for the other bears. This isn't a deal breaker though, and I can see this title being shared as a bedtime book or in a pajama storytime. ( )

It takes a while for children to sleep by themselves. Their mind might tell them that they have to stay by themselves. When they are scared, they would go to parents' bed and stay cozy and have a good night sleep. ( )

Bears are ready to go to bed. Each different colored bear has a different way of getting into bed. Some spin and some jump. Once the lights are off, one bear hears a noise that scares him. Mamma bear comes in and reads them the Goldy-lox story and they all fall fast asleep in the same bed.

This is a really cute story. It has words that rhyme and tells a cute story about five different bears and their adventure to go to bed.It also includes a reference to Goldilocks and the Three Bears, which I think is great! Anytime a book refers to another I think it only encourages more reading. ( )
