Camdyn is a Dark Warrior, Saffron is a Seer that Camdyn rescued. The druids are after the means to kill Dierdre. Camdyn spends the majority of the book fighting his attraction to Dierdre, not wanting to go through the pain of loving and losing a mortal woman. It's annoying but the Druids and Warriors working together to free Dierdre's twin in order to vanquish her was interesting.
