Belinda Davis's move to Boston had introduced her to a life she never could have imagined growing up in the West. But even the opportunities of wealth, literature and travel left her feeling empty. Realizing her faith had been pushed into the background, she once again invites God to have first place in her life. But now she faces new life decisions that seem even more difficult than before. Torn between two contrasting ways of life, one full of fascinating opportunities in the East and one represented by the beloved farm home in which she was raised, she clings to the principles that are her parents' legacy: faith, love, and family.… (más)

The delightful conclusion to the "Love Comes Softly" series. Belinda once again faces difficult decisions about her life. A very unexpected responsibility makes the choice even harder. And then the one person she'd never expected comes back into her life.

This is a nice wrap-up to the series. Belinda's way too perfect, but it's a sweet book. It reminded me how difficult it was in the past for people to move away from their families. In recent years, telephones, email, Skype and more convenient transportation have made it a lot less painful.

Nice ending to the 'Love Comes Softly' series of eight books. Belinda is now well established as nurse/companion to a wealthy woman in Boston. She manages to visit her home town for a few weeks, and is then finds herself torn, undecided about where her future should lie.

Some parts are quite moving, and there's good character development in Belinda, as she discovers that she is no longer the naive young woman who left home. Towards the end of the book she must make an even more major decision, which leads in the end to a somewhat predictable but satisfying conclusion.

The Christian theme is emphasised perhaps a little more than in the earlier books, but even so I didn't find it too pushy or preachy.

It's very light fiction suitable for adults or teens; recommended to anyone who's read any others in this series. ( )

Belinda completes her education in Boston, but she and Drew had drawn apart. She finally leaves home only to find Drew there with a law practice, which requires a lot of misunderstandings to be cleared up and a happy ending.
