This is a fantasy because it is a story about a boy's pet crocodile and the jandals (sandals) he received for Christmas. He ends up losing one so he wears his sandal and then a different one that he finds, later in the story he meets a girl who is wearing the matches to his sandals they become friends and they each get their sandal back.

Character: The crocodile is a round character we know a little bit of his past we also know what his feelings and thoughts are.
