This is another story in the Rocket series and already and writing, where this story tells about how Rocket is collecting new words in order to write a story of his own! This book goes into the pieces of language is a great pairing for a beginning writing or storytelling lesson (3rd grade-ish?). ROCKET WRITES A STORY is an adorable tale of a dog who loves books so much he wants to write a story of his own. The book teaches about brainstorming words and ideas, writers block and finding inspiration for writing. It would make an excellent book to read to a class and have them write about what inspires them using some of the techniques that Rocket used in the book. This is a great follow up form the first story when Rocket learned how to read. It shows the language process and could work really well in a young classroom. You could utilize this book second and talk to your class all about how Rocket finds different words all around him. The theme for this story could be friendship because while learning how to write, Rocket makes a brand new friend with the main character in his story. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
