I really enjoyed this book. I had read up [b:More Than Moonlight|12090541|More Than Moonlight (Lucky Moon)|Piper Vaughn|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1311310829s/12090541.jpg|17058829] before this. Even though it was 0.5 and set before this, I ended up figuring certain things out in this book because I read that first. It but it didn't detract from this book at all, however. I really felt for Shane throughout this book and his struggles of how he got where he was and who he really was deep down. Sweet story and I am very much looking forward to the release of #1.5 and #2.

Lucky Moon: Book One Eleven years ago, Shane Ventura made the biggest mistake of his life when he caved in to pressure from his record label to kick his best friend, Jesse Seider, out of their band, Luck. To this day, Shane has never wanted anyone more, and all the sex and alcohol in the world can't fill the void Jesse left behind. Not even the prospect of teaming up with Britain's hottest band, Moonlight, for a massive world tour can get him out of his funk. Then he meets lead singer Kayden Berlin and falls into instant lust. Kayden may act like he's not interested, but Shane knows he feels the spark between them. Yet the harder Shane pushes, the more Kayden pulls away, until one explosive night leaves Shane with a broken heart. That seems to be his lotâlucky at everything but love. Shane still has one lesson left to learn, though: when it comes to love, you can't always leave things to chance. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |

Emotionally, it's good. All the notes are there, pardon the musical reference, and I was enthralled by their first love when they were so young. But there's some not-great language later, about Jesse's changed appearance, so:
Content Warning for anyone with issues around body image and weight and general appearance. It isn't pervasive, but it is something the plot hinges on.
Also, I need to report an introspection crime. Shane's "introspection" is like a desert, an endless expanse of failure to think through his feelings and assumptions, which makes him the cliché superstar he's assumed to be. The structure alternates from past events to present, tying events together, but making Shane merely wallow rather than use his brain is a poor plot choice, IMHO.
I hope Nick's story is better, but Nick really is the cliché. So, we'll see... ( )
