This could actually happen in real life and I think it's a great book for new students to read to understand they don't have to be anyone but themselves to make friends. In actuality, many stories are invented by new students to make it seem like they are someone they are not. This could definitely happen in real life - the exaggerated story that gets more and more complicated. The media is sparse for the illustrations because this is a chapter book for older readers and the cover art (along with a few graphite pencil illustrations in big print) is about all the artwork in the book. The few pictures inside the book are placed in such a way that you can see what the author is thinking and thought when she created the characters. The illustrations help the reader picture what the situation looks like, and in this way I don't think many are needed. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
