Kai is spiritual but bizarre. Fabian is gorgeous but dangerous. Which will Tamsin choose?

Kai disapproves of Tamsin's job at the Antiquarian Emporium. That a tiny minority of its customers collect rare manuscripts on the occult is of no concern to Tamsin, who loves her job in the heart of Liverpool.

About Fabian: He had to be at least six foot, six inches tall. Wrapped in an ankle-length black leather coat worn with chunky black boots entwined with big silver clasps, he looked delectable. The coat hung open, almost like a cloak, to reveal spray-on jeans and a plain shirt, all black. Around his enticingly flat stomach hung a thick leather belt with an ornate silver dragon buckle. A mass of blond wavy hair reached his chest. His neatly trimmed moustache and goatee beard framed an angular face blessed with the most perfectly chiselled cheekbones.

About Daniel: Llewellyn’s collar-length wavy brown hair was brushed back from his thin, angular face. He would have been handsome were it not for the sadistic amusement emanating from his strange green eyes. I don’t think I had ever really hated anyone before.

Fabian and I followed the silent queue through the kitchen doorway to wooden basement stairs. Just minutes ago the well-dressed party guests had looked entirely conventional. Now their features were veiled by the flowing black robes of their mysterious order of vampires and shape-shifters. I felt like I was dreaming.
