Sweet fantasy, lovely lively pictures. I like how the lesson isn't presented as a fable with consequences, though - the little boy is just offered visions of other children going to bed and left to draw his own conclusions. I wonder if that's a Swedish thing or a Lindgren thing - but in any case it's a nice change from the morality tales I'm more familiar with, that are so full of 'tsk tsk' attitudes and 'watch out or see what will happen' warnings. ( )
