A definite plus to read about healthy friendships between young adult girls. I wasn't a fan of Garrett at all, but I thought the way Sadie handled the situation wasn't really very nice. Which is to say that she should definitely be looking out for her own emotional welfare, but the whole story is basically about Sadie being in the Friend Zone (a term I hate but it fits here) and having the lady version of Nice Guy Syndrome and trying to get over it. Being friends with someone with the sole hope of hooking up and then ditching them because they don't return your pants feelings is not cool. Sadie does address it herself within the story, but I really didn't think it was resolved well. The story does end on a fairly open note, but I would have liked to see that tied up.
