Despite not reading the Spidey books (or any comics) regularly for more than 15 years, I really enjoyed this book. Sure there are tripping points for me as a long-time fan; Jolly Jonah's the Mayor? Aunt May's married to Jonah's dad? etc. etc. Yeah, I'd heard all the brou-ha-ha about Pete's & MJ's marriage dissolution, but they're still connected in many ways in this story. And that's why I enjoyed the story so much; while a bit of a mish-mash of continuity, it kept Peter as a character at the heart of the story and showed us why Spider-Man matters. And honestly, shouldn't more stories be showing us why our heroes matter rather than running them through their genre paces? A fun Spider-Man story with an absolutely absurd premise. There are a lot of good character moments but also a lot of characters (probably too many if you haven't been following this series for the past 50 or so issues at least). Dan Slott writes with a ton of energy and excitement. Things can get pretty crazy but he nails the main cast pretty well. I find Humberto Ramos' artwork to be a bit messy at times but I know people who love it, so it's a personal preference. The Venom backup was a welcome surprise. I had no interest in this series before reading this, but actually found Rick Remender's writing to be some of the strongest in the book! Go fig! a very intriguing prospect: what would happen if you give a million and a half people spider-man's powers but not peter parker's sense of responsibility? and just to make it even more interesting... 1. rope in the FF, the avengers, the new warriors, the immortal weapons, and the x-men to try and 'contain' the situation. 2. heck...add in venom and anti-venom as well. and kaine! 3. the spider queen get's telepathic control of all the new spider-men and bends them to her evil whims. 4. madam web loses her ability to see into the future. 5. spidey (the original one) has lost his spider sense! a very very chaotic read, that somehow gets all tied up nicely in the end. why isnt this story arc not a movie/animated yet? sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
