Yays: The plot was suspenseful and moved quickly. The person trying to kill Holly was a constant threat and got more cunning as the story progressed. I was surprised to find out who the culprit was and the reason behind everything. Daniel was an excellent protector, strong, smart, and level-headed. I'd definitely want him on my side in a crisis!
Mehs: I never felt a strong "romantic" chemistry between Daniel and Holly. Few emotions. No sizzle. Maybe their characters needed to be developed more. Also, the whole "snowbound in a New Mexico cabin" thing was waaay too brief! Blink, and you'll miss it. :-(
Conclusion: I love books with Native American themes, and the author did a great job blending Navajo traditions into the story. The setting, the Four Corners area in New Mexico, was spectacular too. The Copper Canyon series has promise, and I'll definitely be continuing on to the next brother. :-) ( )
