This is one of my favorite books to bring into Sunday school as a teaching tool. The poems capture the students attention and then the commentary at the bottom helps to explain the meaning of the story. The main idea of this text is to retell biblical stories. ( )

I did not like this book. I am not a fan of the genre poetry, so I was not very engaged. The pictures did not enhance the poems as they were very dull and un-appealing. The book was made as a tribute to Jerusalem and I think this was important factor, however my interest could not connect with anything throughout this book.
