The pictures and quotes and production details were great, but on the whole it didn't tell you anything you couldn't glean from watching the show. I would have liked more on how they filmed it. ( )

Really pretty. Lots of nice pictures from the era to show where the producers found inspiration. I wish there had been more about the actual castle, and maybe I bit more behind the scenes. I liked how there was so much backstory to each character. ( )

I never dreamed that I would become so hooked on Downton Abbey. The wonderful acting, the beautiful costumes, the lovely scenery and the sharp writing all combine to make quite an unforgettable experience that feels like far more than just a tv show. The World Of Downton Abbey, full of lovely photos, neat historical background information and great quotes, captures much of what makes the show so amazing. ( )

Lovely backgrounder for the series; ties in the actual history and conditions of the time in some detail as well as giving a little info on the actual shooting of the episodes. ( )
