It was a fun, easy read not particularly life changing or anything, but good for an easy read. ( ) A British boy named Mathew has a cousin in the U.S named Sam. Sam is a charismatic, funny kid. His mom named Galaxy sadly dies in a car accident. Sam's dad had left him and his mom when he was very small. Since no one is there to take care of Sam in America, he has to live with his aunt and uncle in London, Mathew's parents. Mathew is not very pleased having Sam in his live. Sam has no friends yet and he does not seem to care. Mathew's dad said that Sam should join the Sheds. The Sheds is a type of 'squad' that Mathew and his friends Tyrone, Jake, and Charley made. Sam wants to join, but he needs to prove himself first. Mathew, Tyrone, Jake, and Charley decide that Sam needs to dress up as a girl for the first week of his new school. Turns out Sam looks like a GREAT girl. On the first day of school he fools everyone at Bradbury Hill. Sam steps over lines and all type of boundaries. I gave this book five stars, because it is very well written and a hilarious book! It has great humor and cool characters. The reason why I think that the book is well written, is because I enjoyed how the author wrote the name of the characters over the paragraphs so that the reader would know who was speaking or telling a story. The only thing that the book was missing were pictures! Still overall the book was amazing and hilarious. This is funny and cute. I kind of felt that I was reading a Shakespearean comedy (from the POV of plot, not language!) and, with its different voices, it read a little bit more like a play rather than a novel. The characters are terrific and the plot is fast-paced enough to maintain interest till the end. This is such a great book with wonderful characters, especially Matt and his American cousin, Sam. With all the different voices and various perspectives on the same event, the story is a fairly easy read. The plot is fast-paced and extremely funny in parts and there are some interesting issues about gender roles. Well worth the read. Roman.
