Take you through a game with the Comets and Blasters and shows you all you need to know about basketball. It breaks down positions, the court, and the rules of the sport. A cute book for children who love sports and want to know more. ( ) I think having books that will interest children of both genders is important, but hard. This basketball book does just that. This book, with the detailed descriptions of all things basketball, will help children of both genders understand the rules of the game. After reading this book, readers can identify the court markings, the player’s positions, and the length of the game. Another thing that makes this story appealing is that Gail Gibbons kept the gender of the illustrations mixed. Details: This book was written to interest children in grades K-3 and is on a 3.0 reading level. This book is my five-year-old son's favorite! Although he's only five, he loves sports as much as his father! The book has an easy to read font and pictures which make it inviting to a young eye. Most importantly, it does an excellent job explaining how to play basketball. Court lines are labeled, player positions are defined, even fouls and field goals are introduced in a way that early elementary students can understand. Grandma said she wanted to read it so she can learn the game. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
