This book is dedicated to all those volunteers who rolled up their sleeves, stepped over the debris and rushed to the aid of those who lost so much to the May 22nd tornado that ravaged Joplin, Missouri, my hometown. We can't imagine surviving the endless days of devastation without your donations, support and hard work. Just when we thought to bear, a shoulder and a smile were there to carry us through. I am forever grateful.
It is also dedicated to Karen for her friendship and honesty. And to Marvita for her passion patience and sincerity. Like the air that I breathe, I can't imagine this past year without them.
