However Warprize was a good fantasy romance. The love isn't immediate, though the chemistry between them is there from the start. There were no boring parts. Each chapter has something happening, and the protagonist is not a total snowflake either. If you liked this book you might also like the Taren Soul series. This is really good. Full of misunderstandings and intrigue. Two different cultures mixing. One of the differences is the view of relationships and sex, including bearing children. In Keir's culture they each have a role to play, this means he has fathered children who he has no contact with or the mothers of those children. The children are raised by people in the tribe whose role it is to so this job. Each person doesn't step outside this role. There is no detail of any previous encounters. No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine. HFN. The book ends leading to a HEA but it leaves it a bit unfinished as the next book picks up practically on the next sentence. If you choose not to continue the series then you know they will get their HEA but you don't actually read about it. Cardboard. That's the word that comes to mind after finishing this book. Cardboard characters, cardboard situations and cardboard writing. A pity, really. It had all the potential to become a really good story, but it never delivered. It was like watching a low-cost movie with too-fake props and not enough funds to pay a good writer. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Lara was a great character. She was brave, she was smart, and she had a good heart. And the more she gets to know Keir, she realizes he's the same. The two made a good pair. And despite what she thought her role as the "warprize" was, Keir cherished her and protected her above all else.
This is just book one in the series, so I'm very excited to see how the rest of the story unfolds. ( )
