With the death of Celia's mom, Celia realizes life is too short not to follow her dreams. In her small town of Grandberry Falls, Kentucky-Celia decides to open up, The Ladybug Florist, which is only fitting due to her love of flowers and ladybugs. This light-hearted romance should be a fun and easy read. Unfortunately, I kept getting bounced out of the story when the point of view would jump from first person to third person narrative for no discernible reason. This book has 237 pages on the Nook. This is an easy afternoon read. Tonya Kappes has started creating her town of Grandberry Falls with some interesting characters and it will be nice to continue to see them in the next Grandberry novels. I loved reading Celia and Sam's story . Tonya Kappes is a very talented writer. I have enjoyed everything written by her that I have read. This book is no exception.
The storyline was enchanting. Who doesn't want to be swept off their feet by a handsome movie star? I absolutely loved the way she added in the meanings of some of the flowers. The characters were friendly and realistic. The villains did their job of creating problems well. The plot kept me reading and even had a small mystery in it.
The book is a quick read, mainly because it keeps you turning pages. There was no bad language, graphic violence or sex, making it a fun series to share with teens or friends who prefer clean romance reading. I can't wait to dive into the next book in the series! ( )
