See Me Run is an excellent book about a dog and his dog friends’ adventures throughout a day. I really enjoyed this book for the classic illustrations and the ending. The book was full of very cute and simple illustrations of all the dogs and all of the different activities. There are pictures of the dogs running, playing in the mud, digging, and all of the other fun things they do throughout the day! I enjoyed the simple pictures because it can clue readers into what is going to happen but also lets them be creative as well! I also really enjoyed the ending of this book because of how open it was. The book ends with “And now we run again!” I love this ending because it leaves it open to the reader to decide what he/she thinks the dogs will do next. I believe the main idea of this book was to do what makes you happy, with the people that are your friends. ( ) I think this would be a great book to help teach students the different short vowels. Throughout the book has different short a vowels, short u vowels, and short i vowels. For example: "It is mud. Mud is fun." Children can recognize that the words run and mud have the short u sound. The pictures are also detailed and interesting. This book starts off with a single dog who love to run. Soon a whole group of dogs begin to run and play together, but the first dog is the fastest so the rest can't catch him. When the dogs approach a giant mud puddle, they come to a stop. But soon begin splashing and playing in the mud. They jump in the river to rinse off the mud, and then begin to dig, because that is what dogs do. Everyone digs together when they find a dinosaur skull. They keep digging and find the whole skeleton, who then becomes mad and chases after the dogs, who then begin running again. (Fantasy) This realistic fiction book is great for beginning readers because all of the words and sentences are very short and repeated. This would be a great book for students to take home and read by themselves because it is not complex. The storyline for this book is about dogs doing various dog-like activities. Many different dogs are featured and the pictures go along very well with the book so children can understand what the book is saying by looking at the pictures. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
