If I hadn't been stuck on a ten-hour transAtlantic flight with nothing else to read but a monograph in Italian, I probably would not have finished this book. The constant, blatant foreshadowing was the literary equivalent of nails on a chalkboard and the rest of the book was overly flowery and highly repetitive. "We read and we slept and we dreamt and we heard the song of the birds and the sun rose and the sun set. The days moved and we all moved with them. Each day was the same and yet each day was different. That was the way it was when the days had a pattern. That was the way it was before the pattern was broken." That was the way it was for 224 pages. ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
