This was my best short read, in a long, long time and defintely something that I would read again!! I just loved what chemistry that Noah and Dante had, so palpable!! ( ) I wanted to beat both Noah and Dante for believing the other could stop loving them when they were so clearly in love with each other. Gracie was a totally adorable little girl and it was great watching these 2 guys see each other again and realize that their connection was not gone. I was at first feeling a little bad for the "boyfriend" when Dante came back in the picture but Mary took care of him nicely by making him out to be such an ass that I was glad Noah didn't pick him. Lol. Very cute story. Short and sweet. An interesting twist on the root conflict. I agree w other reviewers that only an idiot lets someone they truly love go without demanding a face to face. I get the complications involved here but still. Also I feel like they let the main source of betrayal off WAY WAY too easily. Story was good though and holy cow.... if that wall had eyes! Again by Mary Calmes is a short story about love lost once and the attempt to regain it. Noah Wheeler and Dante Cerreto are the perfect match by all appearances. They look at each other across a room and it's a house on fire. They had their whole lives planned together, including marriage and a child by surrogacy. That dream died a painful death when Noah arrived to pick up Dante at the airport and found him kissing a woman, or so Noah thought. Calmes characters in Again are both strong and capable men who rebuild their lives after the disastrous end to their relationship, but it's not the same. Again answers the unvoiced question at the end of every broken romance: would it work if we tried again? Noah and Dante are two passionate individuals and the scenes between them smolder with intensity. There are some hot clenches in tight corners, and while the story works when it focuses on these two men there are some questions left unanswered. Still, Again is a lovely read with nice pace and interesting characters. The story is short, but it doesn't short-change the reader. It's worthy of 3.5 stars. Six years ago, Noah Wheeler went to meet his boyfriend, Dante Cerreto, at the airport, and his world ended. Dante was kissing someone else and claimed to be in love. So Noah took his heartbreak--and the sonogram pictures of their surrogate child--and closed the door on the big picture of what he thought his life would be, focusing instead on the piece of the dream he got to keep, being a father. Now on vacation in Las Vegas, Noah accidentally runs into the Cerreto family, and then the man himself, and learns that not only was he deceived, but Dante was as well. Now Dante wants to make up for lost time, six years' worth, and to do that he needs Noah, the only man he's ever loved, and Grace, the daughter he didn't know he had, to give him a chance at happiness. Dante's going to have to take a crash course in communication and seduction, though. Noah's not going to fall in love just to be broken again. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
