I was so excited when I found Last Man Standing, by Cindy Gerard, at my local grocery store on Jan. 28th!! I had pre-ordered it, and quickly canceled the order and started reading. This story was a perfect ending to the adventures of BOI. Joe and Stephanie's story. He has always, to me, taken Bryan's death the hardest. Never letting it go. Stephanie, Bryan's sister, has been in love with Joe, it seems like forever. I am trying very hard to not give spoilers, so bear with me. The story travels from the HOT, dusty, dry land of Sierra Leone, to the frigid cold of Minnesota. Joe decides to protect Stephanie by removing himself from her life, going rogue, and finding Bryan's killer. Stephanie realizes, through her loss, and pain, that she has always shown Joe her sweet, affable side. Waiting for him to come to her, giving him time, hoping for more. Her inner warrior broke out, and off they go. One of my favorite parts of these exciting novels, was always the epilogue at the Tompkins home. The love and friendship of these hard, "cold hearted" warriors, was such fun after there perilous adventures. Each one has found their soul mate, and after each novel more and more babies!!! I truly have loved each of these novels, and will not part with them so I can read each story again. Sad they are finished, but so happy with the ending. Plus, Ms Gerard has hinted we will be catching up with the BOI's in her upcoming stories YAY~~! For me, a solid five stars sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
