Each poem talks about a different culture and how they use the moon to celebrate. I liked this book for a few reasons. First, I liked this book because the illustrations enhances the poems as I read them. For example, one of the poems are called "Staircase to the Moon" and to me the illustration demonstrates the title. In the picture, there is a moon at the top and kids standing across from is on ocean. The ocean reflection makes it look like the moon is showing stairs in the ocean leading up to the moon. This is shown because of the brightness of the moon and the darkness of the ocean. Second, I liked this book because the language was patterned and clear. For example, in poems there would be rhyming between lines, which can also engage the reader in a shared reading activity. Also, the language is very kid friendly and easy to understand if a kid is reading it. The big idea of the book is to teach children about the moon and things on Earth. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
