A fascinating look at why, to paraphrase the title of another book, the Right gets it right and the Left doesn't get it. Liberals have been consistently losing ground to "conservatives" because the former lack a clear, sound-bite-able agenda, whereas the latter has little else. You wouldn't think that would be bad for liberals, but Lakoff explains why the approach the Right has been using is so much more effective. He details analyses of different worldviews (with the ironic point made that someone of certain worldviews would probably have been literally unable to write this book) and how liberals ("progressives,"if you prefer) can and must step up and take the necessary steps to regain the "hearts and minds" of the American people.
